EM Hawaii participates in afternoon breakout session with Learn and Serve Hawaii, Department of Education. Students and educators learn about Effective Microorganisms (EM), and its application in service-learning projects. Participants learned how EM can be used to address the solid waste and landfill issues. Make EM Bokashi to begin their own research, scientific investigation and “mini” service learning projects.

Evaluations for the session received extremely high ratings. Attendees strongly agreed that their time was well spent, information was helpful and that it helped them better understand service learning.
