The 6th grade students, parents, teachers, and kupunas of Waimanalo gathered on a beautiful Saturday morning to plant kalo, sweet potato in their new school / community garden.
They learned cultural crafts and how to make EMŽ Bokashi to help recycle their solid food waste into organic fertilizer. Entertainment and a healthy lunch was enjoyed by all.
