Flow through system

  • BIAC have flow through system – high water usage – over 60% of water supplied by NELHA to BIAC

  • Discharge sumps – have to deal with high volumes and possible build up over time

  • EM to assist in breaking down organic matter

EM applications

  • EM HAWAII supply EM1

  • Make extended EM and apply 1 part EM: 10 000 parts of water

  • Two applications:21 Aug and 4 Sept ‘14

  • Sump level dropped 5 to 6 inches

  • Floating organic matter seems to be disintegrating

  • Made some other sump management changes too to assist with water levels.
